Person Specification

  • Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of board membership and an understanding of the respective roles of the Chair, Board Members and Chief Executive.
  • A record of proven achievement at Board level as Non Executive or Executive.
  • Strategic awareness combined with an ability to process detail and get to the heart of an issue.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team and to contribute at board level.
  • Acceptance of corporate responsibility for decisions made by the board.
  • An understanding of and commitment to, the values of Mytime Active.
  • Understanding of equality and diversity issues appropriate to the role.
  • Willingness and ability to devote the necessary time and effort to board member duties
  • An understanding of governance issues in the charity sector.
  • Good financial and business acumen.
  • Senior level corporate experience in a large commercial customer facing service business – Role 1.
  • Senior business experience of the commissioning or contracting market in Public Health – (Private/Public or 3rd sector) Role 2.
  • Awareness of IT and digital issues
