Welcome & Introduction from the Chief Executive

I am delighted that you are interested in finding out more about Mytime Active, and the exciting future we have ahead of us.

The reality of our lives today is that our affluence is killing us - the fatty and sugary food we eat and the time spent sitting in school, the office or on the couch. We all know this - and yet it can be so hard to do something about it.

At Mytime Active we want to make it simple and fun to lead more active and healthier lives, so people just keep coming back for more. We want to do this not just for an individual, or for a family, but also for an entire community, ensuring our services are accessible to as wide a population as possible, so that it becomes the "norm" to live in this way. We do all of this in a way that is financially sustainable, investing any surpluses we make back into the business.

We were established in 2004, born out of the creation of a social enterprise to run the leisure services for the London Borough of Bromley. As part of a network of similar organisations, we are a Leisure Trust with a difference - expanding into golf, where we are now the second largest golf operator in the UK, and into public health, with a world leading child weight management programme.

Now in 2016 we are poised to grow. Building on our three strong businesses, with hundreds of thousands of customers, and backed by our sound financial position, we are ambitious to further develop our community approach to wellbeing.

We are planning to enhance our Board of Trustees to support our senior team and, in order to achieve this, we are looking for two Trustees to support and challenge our top team whilst they deliver our strategy and business plan. Trustees will contribute to all three business areas, Leisure, Health and Golf and our Support Services functions, You will already be a senior leader, probably a Director experienced in the leisure or health sector, with commercial acumen, collaborative style and the time and energy to commit to us for 8 meetings per year, for a minimum term of 3 years. You will share our passion, commitment, and drive. Ideally you will be able to share your experience of technological solutions to operational challenges to facilities longer term efficiencies and improvements in service delivery.
